Description DROFA
Sunflower DROFA is a mid-early simple inter-row hybrid with a growing period of 110-115 days. It is characterized by a medium seed yield of 3.2-4.5 tons per hectare, which depends on the growing region and conditions. The oil content of the seeds ranges from 50 to 52.2%, with a fat content in the seeds of about 51-52%, making this hybrid high-oil. Hulling accounts for approximately 22%, and the seeds have an average size, oval-elongated shape, and black color without stripes. The optimal planting density is 50-55 thousand plants per hectare, which contributes to maximum crop productivity.

The DROFA hybrid has high resistance to a range of diseases, which significantly reduces the risk of yield loss. It is genetically resistant to downy mildew and dodder, and also demonstrates increased resistance to basket and root forms of white and gray mold, as well as to Phoma. Resistance to lodging ensures the preservation of plants during ripening. These characteristics make sunflower DROFA a reliable choice for cultivation in various climate zones of Russia, Ukraine, and Moldova.

External plant features include a medium cordate green leaf with glossiness and weak blistering, as well as strong pubescence of the upper part of the stem. Flowers are yellow, ligulate oval, tubular also yellow with the absence or weak anthocyanin coloration of the stigma. The head is of medium size with a flat seed side, turned downwards at maturity. The plant does not branch, which simplifies care and harvest. Thanks to its plasticity and disease resistance, the DROFA hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various regions with different climatic conditions, ensuring stable and high yields.
