Description Oktava
OCTAVA is a high-yield variety of winter soft wheat, distinguished by its excellent resistance to phytopathogens and adaptability to various climatic and soil conditions. The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 7.8 to 11.9 tons per hectare, and is well-suited for cultivation using both conventional and intensive technologies, including irrigation conditions. Plants reach a height of 104-112 cm, feature a medium-sized, spindle-shaped, white awn, and have a thousand-kernel weight of 42-44 grams. The grain is characterized by high content of crude protein (12.8-13.4%) and gluten (29-34%), ensuring high-quality flour with strength 336-368 E.A. The OCTAVA variety exhibits high resistance to major diseases such as brown rust, powdery mildew, blotches, and fusarium of the spikelet, as well as demonstrating good drought resistance (7-8 out of 9), frost hardiness, and winter hardiness (8-9 out of 9). Plants are resistant to lodging and grain shedding, which is particularly important during late harvest and high humidity. These biological features make the variety a reliable choice for various regions and growing conditions, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest. OCTAVA is recommended for cultivation with the application of nitrogen mineral fertilizers, which contributes to increased productivity and grain quality. Thanks to its heat tolerance and disease tolerance, the variety ensures high yield without unnecessary costs and care difficulties. This seed material is distinguished by its purity and calibration, which guarantees seedbed safety and successful cultivation.
