Dозор — diploid winter rye variety, grain type, characterized by medium maturity and early heading. The plant is low-growing, with strong stems resistant to lodging and medium-length dark green leaves with a slight waxy coating that appears during heading. The ear is semi-erect, medium length (10-12 cm), medium density, takes on a spindle shape and yellow color upon ripening. The stem has slight pubescence, and the waxy coating is absent during tillering.
The Dозор variety exhibits high resistance to weather fluctuations, drought, lodging, and excellent winter hardiness. It shows good tolerance to pathogens and pests, ensuring stable yields. Due to these qualities, the variety is widely grown in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine, but is suitable for cultivation in all soil-climatic zones of Ukraine.
The potential yield of this variety reaches 72.5 centners per hectare, while experimental actual yield may reach up to 10 tons per hectare. The grain is large-seeded, with 1000-grain weight ranging from 42 to 50 grams. Protein content in the grain is approximately 12.6%, fiber — 30%, providing excellent bread-making qualities. The variety is also tolerant to late sowing and resistant to germination on roots, making it a convenient and reliable choice for agricultural production.
