Rose DE RUITER 1636 A

A Practical Approach to De Ruiter Breeding

When working with the RUISG 1636 A variety from Dutch breeders De Ruiter Intellectual Property, it is essential to understand its dual nature. This is not merely a decorative plant, but a technical tool for professional landscaping. In practice, the variety shows high adaptability: if you are establishing a rose garden, be prepared that the bush will require attention to pruning, especially when used on arches and trellises.

Operational Aspects and Maintenance

• Versatility in Planting: Thanks to the efforts of originators AGT and H.C.A De Groot, the hybrid is equally productive in both open-ground conditions (flowerbeds) and specialized greenhouse facilities focused on cut flowers.
• Trellis Management: The stems have sufficient flexibility for securing to supports, but they do require regular tying. Consider this when planning planting density: excessive crowding reduces airflow and increases the risk of fungal diseases.
• Yield and Cutting: For commercial growers, maintaining proper temperature regimes after cutting is crucial. The bloom retains turgor significantly longer with proper hydration immediately after harvest.

From an agronomist's perspective, RUISG 1636 A is a predictable asset. The originator focused not only on the aesthetics of the bloom but also on the resilience of the root system. With moderate fertilization, the crop demonstrates stable growth, which allows for reduced maintenance costs in the long run.
