Spring rape of the Neman variety is a medium-maturing type 00, characterized by the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content, making it particularly valuable for producing high-quality oil and protein. The variety's vegetative period ranges from 90 to 103 days, with average flowering time. The plant is of the semi-closed type, with stem heights up to 140 cm and diameters up to 25 cm, featuring green leaves with a waxy coating and slight corrugation, as well as a racemose inflorescence up to 45 cm long with yellow flowers. Seeds are oval-round, black-brown in color, with a 1000-seed mass ranging from 2.5 to 3.9 grams.

The Neman variety is distinguished by high yield and lodging resistance, confirmed by a stability rating of 4.7 points. In the Ryazan region, average yield reaches 25.2 c/ha, which is 3.7 c/ha higher than the standard, with maximum yield recorded at 41.3 c/ha. Seeds contain approximately 39.9% oil, less than 1% erucic acid, and glucosinolates, ensuring high product quality. Additionally, protein content in the cake is 26.6%, allowing for up to 8.3 c/ha of oil and 5.5 c/ha of protein production. The variety is resistant to diseases and pests at the standard level.
