Zucchini POSOLOV

Stable Yield for Commercial Production

The 'Posol' variety, developed by the Vavilov Institute (VIR), is the choice for growers who prioritize predictability and a classic fruit format. Thanks to its semi-vining growth habit, this zucchini fits perfectly into intensive cultivation schemes: it occupies minimal space while providing a consistent harvest of 200–500 gram fruits.

Practical Field Application

• Harvest Optimization: The cylindrical shape of the fruit is ideal for hand-harvesting. The light green color makes it easy to spot amidst the foliage, which reduces harvest losses during daily rounds of the plantation.
• Operational Versatility: This variety has proven its worth both for the early fresh market segment and as raw material for canning. A weight of up to 500 grams makes it a culinary standard; these fruits fit perfectly into jars and require minimal effort to process.
• Agrotechnics: The semi-vining structure simplifies maintenance in the inter-row areas. With proper planting density, the plants provide enough cover to suppress weed growth while remaining accessible for fertilizer application and pest control treatments.

By choosing 'Posol', you are investing in established breeding that is adapted to regional climatic conditions and consistently delivers results at a standard market weight. It is a reliable workhorse for farms where high marketability and consistent fruit size are key success factors.
