KWS HARTUROS — winter rapeseed with medium-early maturity, developed by the French company KWS. Seeds of this variety are suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including Steppe, Forest Steppe, and Polесье, and provide a stable and high yield. The variety is characterized by moderate autumn and spring development, early flowering, and medium maturation time, enabling its effective use in different regions and planting dates, including optimal and late ones.

One of the key features of KWS HARTUROS is high resistance to pod cracking, which significantly reduces seed losses during harvest. Plants have medium height, high winter hardiness, and good resistance to lodging, ensuring the reliability of the crop under adverse weather conditions. The variety also demonstrates resistance to major diseases such as phoma, alternaria, cylindrospermosis, and verticillium, and is tolerant to turnip yellow virus (TuYV). Thanks to rapid spring vegetation and good compensatory ability due to branching, the crop quickly recovers after winter and forms high yield potential.

The yield of the KWS HARTUROS variety is rated as very high, and oil content — medium to high. Glucosinolate content is low or medium, which positively affects product quality. To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to maintain a plant density of 400-500 thousand plants per hectare and apply growth regulators in autumn. The cultivation technology can be conventional or Clearfield system, providing flexibility in choosing protection and crop care methods.
