SY CORSICA AR

SY CORSICA AR is a linoleic sunflower hybrid of medium maturity, developed for cultivation using innovative A.I.R. technology. It is intended for use in various agroclimatic regions of Ukraine, including northern steppe, forest-steppe zones, and the Polissia region. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to adverse environmental factors and demonstrates good yield performance, making it a versatile solution for many farms.

A.I.R. technology allows the application of herbicides based on imazamox, imazapyr, or tribenuron-methyl depending on the degree of field infestation and weed species composition, which contributes to effective weed control and improved plant growth conditions. SY CORSICA AR is characterized by high genetic resistance to false powdery mildew, resistance to race A-G of downy mildew, and tolerance to major sunflower diseases such as Phomopsis, Phomosis, and various forms of sclerotinia. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to lodging, which enhances yield stability.

The hybrid belongs to the intensive type with good pollen shedding and high oil content, reaching 51–53%, which is a significant advantage for oilseed crops. The recommended seeding rate depends on soil moisture levels: 45–50 thousand seeds per hectare under moderate moisture, and 50–55 thousand seeds per hectare under sufficient moisture. SY CORSICA AR is suitable for cultivation in the central region of Ukraine and is recommended for use in intensive farming technologies.
