Ravelin

The hybrid sunflower Ravelin is characterized by high yield and resistance to adverse conditions. It demonstrates a stable yield ranging from 3.5 to 4.8 tons per hectare, with potential yield reaching up to 4.7 tons per hectare. The plants have tall stems ranging from 165 to 210 cm in height and a flower head diameter of 17-19 cm, which promotes good growth and harvest. The vegetation period is 108-112 days, allowing the hybrid to thrive under various climatic conditions.

Ravelin exhibits high resistance to drought, lodging, and a wide range of sunflower diseases, including rust, froge, rot, and aphids. Of particular importance is its genetic resistance to the herbicide Granstar at doses up to 50 g/ha, enabling effective control of weeds such as sow thistle and ragwort without harming the crop. Due to these qualities, the hybrid is recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe zones of Ukraine.

This oilseed hybrid is characterized by high oil content in seeds — from 48 to 51% — making it attractive for the oilseed industry. Seed production is carried out by the Institute named after V. Ya. Yuryev, ensuring quality and compliance with standards. Ravelin is suitable for various payment methods and convenient to use, making it a profitable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high and stable sunflower yields.
