Description KC Zorba
Sunflower QC Zorba is a medium-maturing, high-yielding hybrid of intensive type, possessing plasticity and adaptability to various growing conditions. Its vegetation period is 115-117 days, enabling efficient use in various soil-climatic zones. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to races of downy mildew A-E, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. The recommended seeding rate varies depending on soil moisture: 40-45 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture, and 55-60 thousand/ha under adequate moisture.

Plants reach a height of 150-170 cm, have a semi-convex head with a diameter of 18-21 cm, which is half-nodding. The thousand-seed weight is 50-65 g, indicating good seed quality. Oil content in seeds ranges from 48-52%, making this hybrid attractive for oil production. Yield potential reaches 4.4 t/ha, confirming its high productivity.

QC Zorba demonstrates good resistance to major diseases and lodging, as well as tolerance to sulfonylurea-based herbicides, facilitating crop management and enhancing plant protection efficiency. The hybrid is recommended for intensive cultivation technologies, including the SULFO (Express) system, which allows optimizing agronomic practices and achieving stable high yields.
