Pine Beauty

Why "Krasavitsa" is the choice of forestry professionals

When discussing pine plantations focused on aesthetics and resilience, the "Krasavitsa" variety, developed by the experts at VNIILGSbiotech, stands out. From a practitioner's perspective, this material is the result of serious breeding work by the Russian Research Institute of Forest Genetics, Breeding, and Biotechnology, performing predictably and reliably in field conditions.

Establishment and Adaptability

The primary advantage of this variety lies in its high adaptability. During planting, the seedlings demonstrate an excellent survival rate. It is important to note that "Krasavitsa" is sensitive to soil composition initially, so proper preparation of planting pits and the application of specialized growth stimulants are essential parts of the maintenance routine.

Maintenance and Agrotechnics

In terms of care, "Krasavitsa" does not pose significant difficulties if proper attention is given during the first two years:

• Regular watering during dry spells: the plant is highly responsive to moisture, which directly affects the richness of its needles.
• Crown formation: the variety has strong decorative properties, so minimal sanitary and maintenance pruning is recommended to preserve the perfect crown aesthetics.
• Pest control: like most conifers, it requires preventive insecticide treatments during the spring season.

Summary for Landscapers and Foresters

For those involved in landscaping or forestry, choosing products from VNIILGSbiotech is a guarantee of gene pool purity. You are not getting a "pig in a poke" but are working with selected varietal material. The fertilizer consumption and labor costs for maintenance are standard for decorative pines, yet the result—in the form of even, healthy needles and a perfect crown shape—fully justifies the investment in this variety.
