Shmel

Cucumber Shmel is an early-maturing hybrid specifically developed for pollinating other cucumber varieties, ensuring high yield and stable fruiting. Plants are strong-growing with active branching, enter the flowering period early, and form a large number of male flowers on the main stem and side shoots for a prolonged period. This makes Shmel an indispensable pollinator for bee-pollinated hybrids, improving the quality and quantity of fruits.

The fruits of cucumber Shmel are dark green, cylindrical, slightly ribbed, 10-13 cm long, juicy and tender. They possess high salt tolerance and flavor qualities, making this variety versatile for use in salads, pickling, and canning. The hybrid is resistant to several diseases, including olive spot, common cucumber mosaic, powdery mildew, and tolerant to downy mildew, significantly simplifying care and increasing crop reliability.

Shmel is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses, where yields reach about 4 kg per square meter. The maturity period is 41-45 days from germination. Hybrid seeds are available in winter and summer varieties, enabling cultivation under various climatic conditions and at different times of the year.
