Description Avion
Cucumber Avion F1 — an early and high-yielding hybrid of the cornichon type, developed by Bejo Zaden from the Netherlands. The first harvest can be obtained as early as 42-48 days after planting, making this variety especially attractive for cultivation in open and greenhouse conditions. The plant features a strong root system and sturdy, leafy vines with a dense foliage cover that protects the fruit from overheating. Avion F1 is immune to cladosporiosis and tolerant to high temperatures, ensuring stable growth and development even under challenging climatic conditions. Avion cucumber fruits are 10–15 cm long and 4–5 cm in diameter, with a dense, moderately ribbed, uniformly colored skin. The flesh is homogeneous, juicy, and free of voids, with small pale seeds. Up to four cucumbers form in one flower cluster, contributing to high yield potential. The plant prefers light to medium soils with neutral or slightly acidic pH, as well as regular moderate watering at the root, which promotes active growth and the formation of a large number of fruit set. The Avion F1 hybrid is suitable for various uses: fresh consumption, canning, and processing. Due to its parthenocarpic flowering type, this variety is self-pollinating, simplifying care and increasing yield stability. Seeds are packed in 250 units and are suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses, making this variety a universal choice for gardeners and farmers aiming to obtain an early and high-quality cucumber harvest.
