The oil flax variety "URAL YELLOW" is the result of hybridization and multiple individual selection, resulting in a mid-season variety with a vegetative period of 85-90 days and a plant height of 60-65 cm. The plants are predominantly single-stemmed, with rounded capsules of medium size and a pointed beak. The variety's seeds are yellow, egg-shaped, of medium size, with a mass of 1000 seeds 6.5-7.0 g, which exceeds the corresponding indicator of the standard. The crude fat content in the seeds is 42-44%, which ensures high oil content of the crop. The variety is characterized by resistance to lodging and seed shedding, and also has good resistance to a complex of diseases at the standard level. "URAL YELLOW" is recommended for cultivation in the Middle-Volga, Volga-Vyatka, Ural, and East-Siberian regions, where it shows stable seed yields within 8.5–17 c/ha. Thanks to uniform ripening and adaptation to various climatic conditions, this variety is suitable for widespread use in agriculture. The high fat content in the seeds makes it a valuable source of flax oil, used in the food and industrial sectors. For growing the variety, sunny places and fertile soils are preferable, which contributes to optimal plant development and achieving maximum productivity.
