Lily «Purple Prince» is an outstanding OT-hybrid variety that attracts attention with its large, bright violet flowers with a diameter of 20 to 30 cm. The flowers have an atlas texture and slightly twisted petals, creating an effect of a royal crown ornament. As the bud opens, it turns into a rich burgundy-violet shade, while the aroma remains thin and sweet throughout the flowering period.
The plant reaches a height of 150–200 cm, making it a noticeable element of any garden or park. Stems are strong and upright, able to withstand the weight of large buds. Dark green leaves with a glossy surface add elegance and harmony to the composition.
The flowering period is long – from July to August. Flowers maintain freshness and decorativeness, and buds bloom gradually, not losing their original appearance. For successful cultivation of the «Purple Prince» lily, a nutritious, light soil with weak acidity, a sunny place, and regular fertilization twice a season are required. Thanks to frost resistance up to –30 °C, the plant can grow even in colder climatic conditions.
