Late-ripening variety. Developed at VSTISP in 1983 by crossing the varieties 'Northern Captain' and 'Czech Crown'. Author: I.V. Popova. Under state variety testing since 2003.
Plant is vigorous, dense, slightly spreading under heavy fruit load, with vertical branch orientation and weak branching. Non-woody stems are thick, straight, green, with slight pubescence. Woody stems are thick, grayish with stripes. Thorns are weakly developed, rare, located at the base of 1/3 of the stem, short, straight, thin, upward-pointing, single, matte, dark-colored. Buds are elongated, pressed, medium-sized, with a pointed apex, dark-brown color, lighter at the apex, without pubescence. Bud placement on stems is opposite. Terminal bud is single.
Leaf is three-lobed, large, green, with weak gloss. Pubescence on upper and lower leaf surfaces is absent, surface is smooth, blade texture is grassy. Blade is slightly concave along the main vein, leaf margin teeth are large, tooth apex is sharp, main vein color is green. Middle lobe is elongated, boat-shaped, 4 cm long, with three-lobed teeth at the apex, no lateral protrusions, lateral edges of the middle lobe are cut straight to the base. Angle between lateral lobe veins is acute. Lateral lobes are shorter than the middle lobe, 2.5 cm long, pointed, apex direction — outward. Basal lobes are undeveloped. Leaf base is heart-shaped with a wide, open notch. There is a deep, very narrow notch between the middle and basal lobes, notch shape is rounded, angle between leaf blade base and petiole is obtuse. Petiole notch shape is heart-shaped. Petiole is 1.5 cm, thick, without pubescence, green along its entire length, positioned on the stem at a 30° angle.
Flowers are large, sepals light green with pink stripes. Shape is oval. Ovule is covered with simple hairs. Inflorescence is two-flowered.
Berries are oval, 5 g in weight, dark red, sour-sweet. Pubescence is weak and sparse, hairs are simple. Skin is dense, venation is weak. Degree of vein branching is weak, vein color is darker than main color. Seeds are large, 28 in number. Receptacle is large, closed, non-dehiscent. Peduncle is medium length, green, with sparse glandular pubescence. Chemical composition: dry matter — 14.5%, sugar sum — 10.0%, titratable acidity — 1.7%, ascorbic acid — 36.0 mg/100 g, anthocyanins — 60.0 mg/100 g.
Advantages of the variety: shrub-like plant form, high productivity, good taste qualities, ease of harvesting, excellent rooting ability of green stems.
Disadvantages of the variety: produces very few suckers.
