HUZAR

Potato variety Huzar is a medium-early table variety of Austrian selection with a maturation period of 80 to 95 days. Tubers are oval-round in shape, with yellow skin and flesh, and small to medium-depth eyes. The weight of marketable tubers ranges from 106 to 167 grams, and the number of tubers per plant reaches 9-14. Starch content is in the range of 10.4-13.9%, providing good taste and versatility in cooking, allowing use in salads, soups, and frying. Storage quality of tubers is 97%, ensuring long-term storage without loss of quality.

The plant has an intermediate growth type with upright or semi-upright stems and large green leaves with wavy edges. Flower corolla size varies from small to medium and is white. Yield is high, ranging from 212 to 418 centners per hectare, which exceeds the yields of standard varieties Golubizna and Kolobok by 70-88 centners, with maximum yield reaching 446 centners per hectare.

Variety Huzar is resistant to several diseases, including potato scab, golden potato cyst nematode, crinkly and striped mosaic, and leaf curl. These qualities make it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions. High marketability of tubers (81-97%) and excellent consumer properties make this variety popular for both personal consumption and commercial cultivation.
