The potato variety Pershaцвет is a high-yielding early-maturing table variety developed by specialists of the Scientific-Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The plants are medium-height with moderate leafiness and a strong root system, ensuring early tuber formation. Tubers are large, round, with a tough netted red skin and yellow flesh containing about 15.2% starch. Eyes on tubers are small and sparse, facilitating processing and cooking. The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 67.8 tons per hectare, and is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including temperate climates.
Pershaцвет has excellent taste qualities and medium-mealy texture, making it versatile for table use and frying. The variety has good storability, allowing tubers to be stored for a long time without loss of quality. Thanks to its strong immunity, the potato is resistant to diseases such as rizoctonia, water-soaked rot, dry fusarium rot, and exhibits moderate resistance to anthracnose, late blight, and phytophthora. However, the variety is susceptible to virus X.
It is recommended to cultivate Pershaцвет on fertile soils, which helps maximize its yield potential and product quality. Due to its characteristics and resistance to several diseases, this variety is a reliable choice for agricultural production, ensuring a stable and high-quality potato harvest with early maturity.
