Durban® - broad-spectrum organophosphorus insecticide and acaricide
Active ingredient: chlorpyrifos (480 g/l)
Formulation: concentrate emulsion
Protected crops: sugar beet, apple, potato
Packaging: 5-litre cans
Shelf life: at least 3 years
Key features:
Destroys a wide range of different species of chewing, mining, and sucking insects — pests of cultivated crops.
Effectively suppresses resistant pest forms that arise during intensive use of only pyrethroids, neonicotinoids, and some other insecticides.
Equally effective against any stage of pests, whether adult insects (imago), larvae of different ages, or eggs.
It is a highly expressed contact-oral poison, ensuring rapid initial action (a few seconds or minutes) and prolonged residual effect (up to 2 weeks).
Possesses strong fumigant activity, allowing it to kill hidden or sheltering pests, thus surpassing many other insecticides in effectiveness.
Resistant to wash-off due to intensive penetration into leaf and fruit cuticles; after 2 hours of spraying, rain or heavy dew does not reduce the efficacy of the product.
Active over a wide temperature range: works excellently both at relatively low temperatures (early spring, when pests emerge from winter dormancy) and very high temperatures (late spring or summer, during their mass development), when pyrethroids are practically ineffective.
Non-phytotoxic to all protected crops at any stage of their development.
Compatible in tank mixtures with product 30, pyrethroids, specific acaricides, and fungicides, except Bordeaux mixture.
Moderately toxic to warm-blooded animals, toxic to bees; therefore, standard safety precautions must be observed during its application. Application to flowering plants is prohibited. Application before flowering (in gardens, during pink bud stage) is not restricted, as the product does not penetrate into nectar and pollen.
