At the core of Kiza Top is Quizalofop-P-ethyl, a compound from the aryloxyphenoxypropionate class. This systemic herbicide functions by inhibiting the acetyl-CoA carboxylase enzyme. For agronomic practice, this means an immediate halt to lipid synthesis within the weed's cells, effectively starving the plant from the inside out. This makes it a high-precision tool for protecting broadleaf crops against grass weed competition.

Distribution and Selectivity

As a foliar-applied post-emergence herbicide, Kiza Top is engineered for high systemic mobility. Once applied to the foliage, the active ingredient is rapidly translocated to the growing points, roots, and rhizomes. The emulsifiable concentrate formulation ensures excellent adhesion to the waxy leaf cuticles of aggressive weeds like quackgrass (Agropyron repens), barnyard grass, and wild oats.
