General information about the CLEARFIELD® system for rapeseed.
The CLEARFIELD® production system for rapeseed is a unique combination of the herbicide NOPASARAN® and high-yielding rapeseed hybrids resistant to this herbicide. The resistance of rapeseed hybrids is achieved through traditional selection methods, without the use of genetic engineering techniques — CLEARFIELD® rapeseed hybrids are non-transgenic. A single application of the herbicide NOPASARAN® (with the adjuvant DASH®) not only eliminates weeds that have germinated at the time of application, but also creates a soil herbicide barrier that suppresses subsequent weed waves. The CLEARFIELD® production system is suitable for both conventional and minimum or zero-tillage rapeseed cultivation technologies. Good results are achieved even on soils with high organic matter content, rocky soils, under water deficiency, and other challenging conditions. Attention! The herbicide NOPASARAN® can only be applied on CLEARFIELD® rapeseed hybrids!
Mode of action
The active substances of the product penetrate weeds both through stems and leaves and through the root system from the soil. They are then transported via phloem and xylem to growth points (systemic), where they disrupt amino acid synthesis, causing weed death. The efficacy, duration, and spectrum of action of the herbicide NOPASARAN® are fully sufficient for reliable protection of rapeseed crops from weeds throughout the entire vegetation period. The presence of two active substances of different chemical classes provides protection against the development of weed resistance.
