Pre-emergence soil herbicide for controlling broadleaf and grassy weeds in oilseed and spring rape crops
Formulation: concentrate emulsion
Active ingredient: clomazone, 480 g/L
MANUFACTURER: "Makhteshim-Agan Industries, Ltd.", Israel
PACKAGING: 5 L canister
ADVANTAGES OF THE PREPARATION:
Controls a wide spectrum of annual grassy and broadleaf weeds (including common chickweed)
Herbicidal efficacy up to 60 days
No residues in rape seeds or oil
Under the action of soil microflora, it dissolves into non-toxic compounds
MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Calypso 480 c.e. is easily absorbed by roots and translocated through the stem to the emerging weed shoots. It readily moves through the xylem of leaves. Upon entering the plant, it halts the formation of chlorophyll and carotene, thereby stopping the photosynthesis process.
APPLICATION:
Maximum effect is achieved with proper soil preparation. The application rate depends on soil type and weed infestation level. On light, low-humus soils, use the minimum application rate. Apply the preparation immediately after sowing; if soil moisture is insufficient, harrowing should be performed after application
Working liquid volume — 200-300 L/ha
GLOBAL APPLICATION EXPERIENCE:
Calypso 480 c.e. is used worldwide to control weeds in oilseed and spring rape, soybean, potato, pepper, melon, and other crops. The preparation can be used in mixtures with S-metolachlor, metazachlor, and trifluralin
