Selective pre-emergence soil herbicide for use on corn crops against annual grassy and broadleaf weeds at early growth stages
Formulation: concentrate emulsion
Active ingredient: acetochlor, 800 g/l + antidote AD-67, 80 g/l
MANUFACTURER: 'Makhteshim Agan Industries, Ltd', Israel
PACKAGING: 5 L.
ADVANTAGES OF THE PREPARATION:
Due to the addition of antidote, the phytotoxic effect on the crop is minimized, allowing for the use of higher doses if necessary
Provides prolonged activity — about three months; germinating weeds come into contact with the preparation and die before emerging to the surface
Low-toxic compound
MECHANISM AND SPECTRUM OF ACTION:
Acetochlor blocks the synthesis of plant protein, leading to weed death
After incorporation, ACENTHA remains active for three months in the topsoil layer
Weed seedlings absorb acetochlor as they emerge through the topsoil layer and die without reaching the surface.
APPLICATION FEATURES
The high efficiency of ACENTHA depends on properly prepared soil before planting. The soil should be well-tilled and finely textured. The best effect is achieved when the topsoil layer is warmed and sufficiently moist. Rainfall within a week after application (or irrigation) enhances and accelerates herbicide action
ACENTHA can be applied on soils of any type
Working solution application rate: 300–400 L/ha
The application rate of the preparation depends on soil type. On heavy soils or soils with high humus content, the application rate should be increased to 3.5 L/ha
