Systemic herbicide, in which two active substances enhance efficacy against broadleaf and grassy weeds on corn crops
Active substance: sulfonylurea derivatives
Manufacturer: Sinokem Hebei Corporation, China
Formulation: water-soluble granules
Packaging unit: 500 g
Mode of action
BATU is mainly absorbed by the above-ground parts of weeds, rapidly moves to apical meristems and blocks cell division processes. The first visible symptoms (chlorosis, necrosis, growth inhibition) appear within a few days. Weed death may last 10-20 days, which is not related to the efficacy of the product, but is solely due to its specific mode of action.
The product must be applied with surfactant Talant® at a rate of 100 ml surfactant per 100 liters of working solution. The application rate of the product depends on the degree of weed infestation and is 20-25 g/ha.
Working solution application rate: 200-300 l/ha; uniform and complete coverage of plants with the working solution is mandatory.
When applied to weeds at later growth stages, growth and development are inhibited. This reduces weed competition for nutrients, but does not result in weed death.
The product should be applied when nighttime temperatures exceed +5°C and daytime temperatures do not exceed +25°C. Best application occurs during dry weather. Rain within 2-3 hours after applying BATU® can significantly reduce its efficacy.
Warning:
Do not apply to corn fields within 14 days before or after treatment with organophosphorus insecticides.
Mechanical tillage or harrowing of crops (cultivation or harrowing) within 7 days before or after application, as this significantly reduces herbicide efficacy against weeds.
