Mode of action
When applied to plant surfaces, it forms a protective layer that prevents pathogen development.
Copper ions are absorbed by the fungal mycelium and cause denaturation of protein complexes, including enzymes. This disrupts metabolic processes in the pathogen's cell, leading to its death.
Sulfur disrupts electron transport in the cytochrome chain of the pathogen's cell membrane. This leads to disruption of metabolic processes in the pathogen's cell, and ultimately to its death.
Application recommendations
Application of the product
The product is applied preventively when weather conditions favor disease development or immediately before the first plant infection (before spore germination on plant surfaces).
Maximum efficacy against pathogens is observed when the product is used in combination with systemic fungicides.
The waiting period from the last application to harvest is at least 30 days.
People may resume mechanized work 3 days after application; manual work may resume after 7 days.
Recommended rate of working solution
When applied with ground sprayers, the rate is 800-1000 L/ha. The working solution rate should ensure complete and uniform wetting of plant surfaces during application, and prevent runoff from plant surfaces.
Application conditions depending on crop
Vineyards. On vineyards, the product is applied during flowering and after flowering. The first application should be conducted when the average daily temperature exceeds +10°C and young shoots are 10-15 cm or longer. Subsequent applications should be conducted at 10-15-day intervals.
Apple trees. On apple trees, the product is applied before and after flowering. The first application is conducted during bud formation. Subsequent applications are conducted at 10-12-day intervals.
Under favorable conditions for disease development, the interval between applications should be reduced to 7-8 days.
Weather conditions
Optimal air temperature for product application: +12°C to +20°C.
Heavy rainfall may wash part of the product off plant surfaces, reducing its protective effect. Therefore, in such cases, reapplication with the minimum recommended rate is recommended to restore the protective layer.
Compatibility with other products
The product is compatible with the majority of pesticides used for protecting gardens and vineyards, except those based on aluminum fosetyl, tar, sulfur, and products that form acidic working solutions. Compatibility of each specific mixture must be tested.
Preparation of working solution
To prepare the working solution, fill the sprayer tank with water to 1/3 of its volume, activate the mixing mode, and add the required amount of product. Fill the sprayer tank to full capacity while the mixing mode is active. The mixing mode must remain active during application to maintain the solution's homogeneity.
Warning
Do not apply the product during flowering of crops, or after peach flowering, as this may cause leaf drop.
Maximum efficacy against powdery mildew is observed when applied at air humidity not less than 70%.
Do not apply the product at air temperatures above +25°C.
If application is missed and plant infection has already occurred (first visible signs of disease are observed), systemic fungicides should be applied within 2-3 days.
