Cucumber variety STEP is a parthenocarpic hybrid widely demanded in the fresh vegetables market due to its high commercial quality and resistance to diseases. Female-flowering plants with numerous determinate lateral branches form cylindrical fruits 6 to 12 cm long and weighing 50 to 100 grams. The skin of the cucumbers is a rich green color with light green stripes at the base, slightly ribbed and warty, while the flesh is dense, juicy, without voids or bitterness, with a pleasant milky hue and characteristic crunch. The peduncle, about 7 cm long, facilitates harvesting.

STEP variety is early-maturing — from germination to technical fruit ripeness takes about 35 days. The plants have good drought resistance and resistance to true powdery mildew, making them suitable for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones. The stem reaches a length of about 2 meters, with moderate formation of medium branches and even leafiness. Typically, 2-3 fruits form at each node, sometimes up to 4, with shortened internodes.

Cucumbers of the STEP variety are versatile in use: they are ideal for fresh consumption, making vitamin salads, as well as for use in canapés, sandwiches, sushi, and rolls. Small green cucumbers are suitable for pickling, canning, and marinating, retaining their taste and attractive appearance even after thermal processing. Due to their flavor and ease of cultivation, this variety is in high demand among both farmers and experienced gardeners.
