SPASSKIJ

Cucumber variety SPASSKIJ is a medium-early, bee-pollinated hybrid with mixed flowering type, beginning to bear fruit 41-45 days after germination. The plant is medium-height, medium-branched, with a compact bush and short internodes, which facilitates cultivation and care. This variety is characterized by slow lateral branch development and formation of 2-3 fruits per leaf axil, ensuring high yield — from 3.3 to 4 kg per square meter.

Fruits of cucumber SPASSKIJ are cylindrical, 7-12 cm long and 80-120 g in weight, dark green in color without light stripes. They are large-ribbed with black hairs, giving them a distinctive appearance. Cucumbers have crisp texture, absence of bitterness, and strong cucumber aroma, making them especially valuable for fresh consumption as well as for canning. High salt-tolerance and excellent flavor characteristics allow this variety to be used during winter.

SPASSKIJ is recommended for cultivation in spring-summer greenhouses, under plastic film, in low plastic tunnels, and also in open ground. Due to its resistance to major cucumber diseases, this variety ensures stable yield and high fruit quality. The optimal planting scheme is 40×40 cm or 30×70 cm, which promotes effective use of space and ease of agronomic practices.
