Maize RG-201 M

Stability of Russian Breeding in Early-Maturing Maize

RGS 201 M is a representative of the classic Russian breeding school, developed by the All-Russian Research Institute of Maize. This hybrid was engineered specifically for agricultural enterprises that prioritize yield predictability in regions with limited growing seasons. In the context of the Russian climate, where weather risks often dictate agricultural outcomes, this hybrid serves as a reliable instrument for consistent grain production.

Agronomic Potential and Breeding Context

The institute's breeders focused on enhancing adaptability to moderate climate zones. As an early-maturing hybrid, RGS 201 M demonstrates a high rate of grain moisture loss, which is a decisive factor in reducing post-harvest processing costs. This feature makes the model highly sought after in regions with shorter summers, where harvesting must be completed before the onset of unfavorable weather conditions.

• Economic Efficiency: Reduced need for artificial grain drying due to early maturity.
• Regional Adaptation: Developed to perform under the specific soil and climatic conditions of Russia.
• Technical Performance: The hybrid responds well to modern crop protection and fertilization protocols, allowing agronomists to forecast yields accurately.

Today, RGS 201 M remains a vital component of the portfolios of farms focused on systemic crop production. Its reputation is built not on aggressive marketing, but on decades of field practice confirming the stability of its phenotype. This is a choice for those who value proven solutions capable of ensuring profitability even in challenging seasons.
