Maize RD 2525

Stable Grain Yields in Challenging Conditions

RD 2525 is a choice for producers focused on commercial grain production with predictable outcomes. Developed by the All-Russian Research Institute of Corn, this hybrid was designed for high adaptability to climatic risks, making it a reliable tool for any crop rotation.

Agronomic Potential and Field Application

The main objective when growing this hybrid is to obtain high-quality, fully developed grain. It is often selected for the following agricultural goals:

• Minimizing risks in regions with inconsistent moisture levels.
• Optimizing harvest schedules: balanced characteristics allow for better management during the busy harvest season.
• Achieving stable yields on soils with medium to high fertility.

Field practice demonstrates that RD 2525 responds well to intensive management practices while maintaining productivity even with reduced mineral fertilizer inputs. It shows strong early growth vigor, which is essential for ensuring uniform emergence when planting into warmed soil early in the season.

Operational Recommendations

To reach target yield indicators, it is important to follow the planting density recommendations provided by the breeder. The hybrid exhibits good dry-down characteristics, which helps reduce grain drying costs post-harvest. Using this hybrid is a strategic move for farms aiming to diversify their corn acreage and balance equipment workload throughout the harvest period.
