Maize R 6490 Z

Technological Architecture of P 6490 Z

This hybrid from Monsanto is a specialized selection development focused on stable commercial grain yield combined with the distinct organoleptic properties of sweet corn. The core of this hybrid’s performance lies in the balance between biological plasticity and an intensive growth model.

Productivity Factors

• Ear Architectonics: The optimized ear structure ensures high grain density. Monsanto's proprietary technologies have achieved uniform tip fill, which minimizes harvest losses during mechanical processing.
• Grain Biochemistry: The genetic architecture of P 6490 Z is designed to maximize sugar accumulation during the milk-dough stage. This makes the hybrid a versatile tool, suitable for both fresh-market sales and industrial grain processing.
• Stress Adaptability: Monsanto’s US-based breeding program has provided this hybrid with a high threshold for resilience against temperature fluctuations. The root system is engineered for efficient soil profile utilization, which is critical during moisture deficits at the flowering stage.

The practical application of P 6490 Z is ideal for operations focused on maximizing returns per hectare. The lack of excessive vegetative mass allows for more efficient use of photosynthetically active radiation, directing plant resources directly into the formation of the commercial ear. Recommended for intensive cultivation technologies while strictly adhering to the seeding density guidelines provided by the originator to ensure maximum marketable yield output.
