LG3285 — a mid-early hybrid of sweet corn with a medium type of kernel, cream-colored and toothed, intended for producing high-quality silage and grain. This hybrid is characterized by high plasticity and adaptability to various growing conditions, ensuring stable agronomic performance and high yield. Plants reach an average height of 260–340 cm, and the number of rows per ear is 14–16, which contributes to forming a significant volume of silage mass with high dry matter content.
One of the key features of LG3285 is its high initial growth energy, which allows it to develop rapidly and successfully compete with weeds. The hybrid exhibits excellent resistance to lodging, among the highest in its maturity group, and demonstrates high tolerance to stress factors such as drought, fusarium, and gray leaf spot, making it a reliable choice for various climatic zones, including all of Ukraine.
To achieve maximum productivity, planting should be conducted at optimal times and harvesting should begin at the late milk-to-wax maturity stage, following silage and storage rules. The recommended planting density for silage is 85–95 thousand plants per hectare. Thanks to its high agronomic characteristics and quality silage with high digestible fiber content, LG3285 is an excellent choice for farmers focused on producing high-quality feed.
