Maize LG3285

The Versatile Potential of the LG3285 Hybrid

French breeding from Limagrain has always focused on balancing yield and stress tolerance, and the LG3285 is no exception. As a simple maize hybrid with an FAO rating of 90–1240, it is tailored for farms requiring predictable results in both grain and silage production. With a maturity period of 140–160 days, the plant demonstrates excellent adaptability to intensive cultivation technologies.

Agronomic Advantages

A key feature of the LG3285 is its high sanitary reliability. In conditions of high humidity and significant infection pressure, the hybrid exhibits marked resistance to common smut and robustly withstands Fusarium and stalk rot. This allows farmers to reduce expenditures on fungicide treatments while maintaining high harvest quality.

• Grain Type: Flint-dent, which ensures a good starch yield and a high thousand-kernel weight.
• Planting Density: To achieve maximum productivity, the recommended sowing rate is 85,000–90,000 plants/ha.
• Dual Use: The hybrid is equally effective for high-energy silage production and commercial grain farming.

Practical experience indicates that selecting the LG3285 is optimal for temperate climate zones, where it is crucial to realize the plant's potential before adverse weather conditions set in. The simple hybrid structure ensures uniform emergence and crop leveling, which simplifies mechanized agro-operations, from sowing to harvest.
