Maize Krechet

Reliable grain production

For operations prioritizing fast maturation and crop predictability, the «Krechet» hybrid from the Yuriev Institute offers a solid solution. With a vegetation cycle of 90–100 days, this hybrid ensures harvest planning is streamlined, minimizing exposure to late-season humidity and ensuring optimal grain moisture at harvest time.

Field management and density

As a simple hybrid, «Krechet» is highly manageable in the field. Field experience confirms that maintaining a stand density of 55,000–60,000 plants per hectare provides the ideal balance for individual ear development. This setup minimizes plant competition and ensures uniform growth, which simplifies combine settings and reduces header losses.

• Harvesting ease: Uniform maturation ensures efficient threshing with minimal downtime.
• Cost efficiency: Early biological maturity leads to lower drying costs, directly impacting the bottom line.
• Genetic resilience: Developed in Ukraine, the hybrid is well-adapted to regional soil and climate stresses.

«Krechet» is designed for farmers who value practical, high-performance genetics. Without excessive biomass accumulation, the plant directs its energy squarely toward filling the ear, providing a consistent and reliable grain yield for commercial needs.
