Irina Valeryevna Surina — a talented singer and musician whose musical career began in Moscow and is associated with the country genre. Born in 1966 into a musical family, she showed an early interest in music, studying at the Gnesins School and the Moscow Regional Music School, where she initially learned to play the violin and later switched to vocals. Her professional path received a new impetus in 1989, when she became the vocalist of the Russian country group 'Kukuruza,' which already had popularity and toured throughout the USSR and Europe.
As part of 'Kukuruza,' Irina Surina became the true face of the ensemble, thanks to her unique voice, which became the group's trademark. In the early 1990s, the ensemble undertook eight concert tours across the USA, recorded two albums, and performed at prestigious venues, including the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. After returning to Russia, the group released another four records and participated in various musical programs and contests, where Irina won the Grand Prix at the 'Country Europe – 99' festival.
In 2000, the singer left 'Kukuruza' and continued her creative activities in other musical projects, including the group 'Deja Vu' and the international art festival 'Mamakabo.' She also became the laureate of the All-Russian Festival of Author's Songs named after Valeriy Grushin and released a solo album 'Nocturnal Bird' with lyrical compositions. In addition to concert performances, Irina performed background songs for films and TV series, and actively shares her life and creativity with fans. Her multifaceted personality is evident in her hobbies, including jewelry making, cooking, walks around Moscow, and love for nature, making her image vivid and inspiring.
