Maize AEG 305

Genetic Potential of AEG 305: Productivity Analysis

The AEG 305 hybrid by 'Сільськогосподарське УРОЖАЙ' is engineered as a versatile tool for intensive farming. The breeding focus was placed on the optimal balance between vegetative mass and dry matter accumulation in the cob, allowing for effective dual-purpose use: grain production or silage.

Grain Morphology and Growth Physiology

The core characteristic of AEG 305 is its dent grain type. From an agronomic perspective, this provides two crucial advantages: a high yield of starchy endosperm and a rapid moisture release rate during the physiological maturity stage. Unlike flint-type hybrids, the dent structure ensures more intensive moisture exchange with the environment, which significantly reduces post-harvest drying costs.

• Growth Energy: The hybrid shows a stable start, ensuring uniform plant stand emergence.
• Silage Quality: Its use for silage is supported by high starch content in the grain and excellent digestibility of the vegetative parts, which is essential for livestock operations.
• Grain Yield: High plant density tolerance allows this hybrid to maximize cob potential given proper mineral nutrition.

The technical design of the hybrid is balanced to ensure reliable performance across various climatic zones in Ukraine. In field conditions, AEG 305 demonstrates strong stress tolerance and maintains stem integrity until harvest, minimizing yield losses during mechanical harvesting.
