Description IRINA PETROVNA
Clematis "Irina Petrovna" – the first local variety of large-flowered vines, created at the Far East Botanical Garden in memory of the distinguished scientist Irina Petukhova, a Candidate of Biological Sciences. The variety is based on the selection of hardy wild Clematis species characteristic of the regional climate and includes elements of hybrids such as Talisman, Mephistopheles, Ajur, Fairy Tale, Souvenir, and Marie Busselet. This allows the plant to combine hardiness, disease resistance, and attractive decorative qualities.

The "Irina Petrovna" flora features large, bright flowers that can display shades of white, yellow, and orange. Blooming occurs throughout the spring-summer period, adding a picturesque look to vertical surfaces. The leaves are dense and dark green, which enhances the contrast with the bright flowers.

The variety is intended for greening public and private areas: it can be used as a decorative vine on trellises, fences, or walls, as well as as a living hedge. Clematis "Irina Petrovna" is easy to grow in pots and containers, suitable for cultivation in greenhouses and conservatories where temperature and humidity are controlled. With proper care, the plant demonstrates cold resistance and can withstand winter frosts, making it an ideal choice for regions with a moderate climate.
