Garlic variety "Our Lubasha" is an Ukrainian winter variety, distinguished by high productivity and resistance to adverse conditions. It boasts excellent frost hardiness, making it ideal for winter sowing, and tolerates dry periods well due to its drought resistance. The plant grows tall, with dark green leaves up to 1.5 meters, covered with a light waxy bloom. The garlic head is flat-round, weighing from 100 to 120 grams, and can reach up to 250 grams under optimal conditions. Each head contains from 4 to 7 cloves covered by a strong, rich purple-red scale that is easily peeled off.
The "Our Lubasha" variety is characterized by a high content of essential oils, allicin, vitamin C, amino acids, proteins, and selenium, giving the garlic a sharp taste and beneficial properties. Thanks to its well-developed root system and large fruit size, it demonstrates stable commercial yield, reaching 15-18 tons per hectare, and up to three kilograms of garlic can be harvested from one square meter. The harvest is collected in the second half of June or early July, corresponding to a vegetation period of 100-110 days.
Additionally, the variety is highly resistant to major agro-diseases such as fusarium and bulb rot, and boasts a long storage period — up to 10 months without loss of quality. Its white outer scales with distinct light purple stripes give it a commercial appearance, making "Our Lubasha" a popular and in-demand variety in Ukrainian agriculture.
