This variety was obtained by sowing seeds of the 'Early Pink' variety at the Far Eastern Research Institute of Horticulture in Vladivostok by T. Kazymin. It was officially introduced for the Far East region in 1965.
The bush has medium growth vigor, round, fairly compact. At the age of 14 years, the mother plant reached a height of 2.2 m with a crown diameter of 2.8 m. Multi-year branches are dark gray with peeling bark. One-year shoots are dark brown. Fruit wood forms evenly throughout the crown on one- to four-year-old branches. Branching is of medium density. Buds are small and pressed against the shoots. Fruit buds form on terminal one-year shoots, on flower clusters and shortened fruiting branches (up to 5 cm long). These types of fruit wood are predominantly located on two-year-old branches in the following sequence: from the base — flower clusters, closer to the apex — short fruiting branches, and at the apex — long shoots. Flower buds form from the beginning of shoot growth along the entire length. Shoots end in a growth bud surrounded by fruit buds. Flowering usually occurs on May 21-23 and ends on June 1-2. Leaves are medium-sized, reverse-oval in shape, strongly hairy, with woolly pubescence. Flowers are pale pink, medium-sized. Petal shape is oval. Petal closure is moderately open. Calyx is tubular-cylindrical. Stigma is 2-4 mm higher than stamens.
Fruits are large, average fruit weight 2.5 g, maximum 4.0 g. Shape is round-oval with clearly defined seam. Fruit surface is smooth, slightly hairy. Pit is wide and shallow. Fruit stem is short. Color is red, slightly pale. Skin is thin and does not detach from flesh. Flesh is moderately dense, red, sweet-sour in taste. Fruits are good for fresh consumption, juice, jam, and wine. Ripen from July 18-22. Remain on the plant until the flesh dries. Juice is pink. Chemical composition of fruits: dry matter 14.1%, sugars 11.8%, acids 1.0%, tannins 0.3%. Fruit transportability is weak. Sensory rating 4.5 points. Stone is medium-sized (1.6), non-detachable, round in shape.
Winter hardiness of the bush is satisfactory. Fruit buds are preserved and do not freeze. The variety is relatively drought-tolerant. During periods of sharp water shortage, fruit set is not lost and fruits do not noticeably shrink. The variety is relatively resistant to Clasterosporium. Affected by aphids and fruit borers.
Advantages of the variety: large, evenly shaped fruits of good flavor, compact bush, productive, long-lived (14 years).
Disadvantage is weak fruit storage life.
