Description CLIMBER
Climber is a vigorous hybrid of Ipomoea (convolvulus) and Brassica oleracea (cabbage). It is an early-maturing variety that reaches a height of 25 to 40 cm and is characterized by a compact, densely foliated bush. The leaves are large with a serrated edge, predominantly bright green, although variants with a rich purple hue are also found. This variety is valued for its high content of essential oils, which give it a characteristic clove aroma with notes of anise, making it particularly attractive for use in cooking.

Growing climber is possible both in open ground and in domestic conditions, for example, in pots on balconies and terraces. For planting seedlings, it is recommended to sow in March-April with subsequent transplanting into open ground at the beginning of June according to the scheme 30x30 cm. The plant prefers light, fertile soils and requires regular watering for full development and preservation of aroma.

Climber is widely used in fresh and dried form as a spice additive. Its leaves and young shoots are used for preparing salads, seasonings for meat and fish dishes, as well as in vegetable canning, where it serves as a natural flavoring. Due to its unique aroma and decorative appearance, this variety of basil is an excellent choice for lovers of aromatic herbs and home gardening.
