Wheat variety Jennifer is a medium-maturing winter wheat with a vegetation period of 76-90 days, included in the State Register for the Central region of Russia and recommended for cultivation in Ivanovo and Moscow regions. The plant features a compact bush with an intermediate type, cylindrical loose ears of medium density and large kernels weighing 43-52 grams per 1000 seeds. The variety is characterized by high yield, averaging 39.2 centners per hectare, which is 2.7 centners per hectare higher than the standard average, with maximum yields reaching 75 centners per hectare under favorable conditions. Regarding lodging resistance, Jennifer slightly lags behind standard varieties, but it exhibits good drought resistance and is suitable for brewing production. For successful cultivation of Jennifer, it is recommended to use quality seed treatments, including fungicides and insecticides, as well as growth stimulants and microelements. The optimal seeding rate is 3.5-5 million seeds per linear meter, while it is essential to apply mineral fertilizers to the soil and foliar feeding of plants during the vegetation period. The variety shows susceptibility to certain diseases, such as powdery mildew and helminthosporium, which requires control and preventive measures in agronomy. Jennifer demonstrates good adaptation to climatic conditions of the Central region of Russia, including Ivanovo and Moscow regions, and exhibits stable yield under various stress factors.
