Originating from the tropical forests of the Americas, these hybrids thrive in humid, warm conditions. They are adapted to forest understory environments, utilizing large trees for climbing. In cultivation, they require support structures or living trees to anchor their aerial roots.
The climate requirements include a consistent temperature range of 22°C to 30°C. High atmospheric humidity, ideally above 70%, is essential for the development of both aerial roots and healthy foliage, which acts as a primary nutrient absorption interface.
