Unlike common garden pests that damage crops, Testacellidae are obligate predators. Their diet consists primarily of other gastropods, such as common garden slugs and earthworms. The biology of these organisms is deeply rooted in soil-dwelling behavior. They spend the vast majority of their life cycle underground or within the surface layer of soil, searching for their prey.
