SUGAR USTA WATERMELON

The Sugar Usta watermelon is a variety created to produce sweet and tasty fruits with high sugar content reaching 9–10%. Fruits of this variety have an average weight of 8 to 12 kg, possess an oval shape, and have dark green skin with thin barely noticeable stripes. The watermelon flesh is juicy and bright red, making it especially attractive to consumers who appreciate a sweet and rich flavor.

The variety is characterized by an early maturity period, allowing for harvest in a short time. The vegetative period is about 70-75 days from seedling emergence. The plant has a long moderately branched vine and demonstrates high yield, reaching up to 35 tons per hectare. Thanks to resistance to a number of diseases and adverse weather conditions, such as cold and rain, the Sugar Usta watermelon is suitable for cultivation both in open and closed ground.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to plant seeds directly into light loamy or sandy soils with a distance between plants of 150-200 cm. Despite resistance to diseases, the variety requires careful care to maintain plant health and maximum fruit quality. Thanks to its characteristics and taste qualities, the Sugar Usta watermelon is popular among gardeners and agricultural producers.
