Watermelon Redenza

Dutch breeding for the professional market

The «Redenza» watermelon by the Dutch company Enza Limited is a choice for growers who prioritize crop stability. Developed by Enza Limited experts, this hybrid fits perfectly into the mid-early culture segment, offering farmers predictable results when grown in open-field conditions.

Agronomic metrics and resistance

The key value of this hybrid lies in its genetic resilience. In intensive farming, where pathogens often cause losses of up to 30% of the yield, Redenza demonstrates high resistance to Fusarium wilt and Anthracnose. This significantly reduces the need for excessive fungicide application, which is crucial for both field ecology and product cost-effectiveness.

• Vegetation period: 70–80 days from transplanting.
• Fruit shape: oval-round, typical for popular export varieties.
• Weight: stable range of 8.0–10.0 kg, which is the gold standard for retail.
• Flesh: deep red color with high sugar content.

The reputation of the Enza Limited brand is backed by decades of research in the genetics of cucurbits. By choosing this hybrid, a farmer receives more than just seeds; they get a technological model. Redenza fruits are characterized by excellent transportability without losing market quality, and they feature a dense rind that protects the internal structure during mechanized harvesting or long-distance logistics.
