ORANGE TOMATO

Tomato 'Ikrа Orange' is a medium-maturing, tall variety with a vegetation period from germination to the beginning of ripening of about 95-100 days. Plants can reach a height of up to 1.8 meters and require training to a single stem with regular removal of suckers for optimal growth. Fruits are round, smooth, and bright yellow-orange, weighing 15-20 grams each. They have a dense, juicy structure and pronounced sweetness, making them attractive for fresh consumption as well as for canning.

The variety is characterized by high yield: 30-40 fruits form on one cluster. Due to its versatility, 'Ikrа Orange' is suitable for fresh consumption, culinary use, and whole-fruit canning. The plant adapts well to various climatic conditions and is resistant to diseases, making it a reliable choice for both novice and experienced gardeners.

Tomato cultivation is possible both in open ground and in greenhouses. Seed sowing is recommended in the second half of March at soil temperatures of 20-25°С. Seeds are pre-treated with potassium permanganate, rinsed, and germinated, then planted at a depth of about 1 cm with an interval of 3 x 1.5 cm in a sunny spot. Seedlings are transplanted at the end of May, following a 70x50 cm spacing scheme, after the threat of frost has passed. To maintain plant health and increase yield, lower leaves are removed after the formation of 5 flower clusters, and flower stems are pinched back after 8-10 clusters, leaving two leaves above the last cluster.
