Tomato Kurazh

Reliable Yields in Challenging Climatic Conditions

The "Kurazh" tomato, developed by "Geterozisnaya selektsiya," is a preferred choice for growers focused on predictability and high profitability. In a market demanding standardized quality, this determinate hybrid consistently demonstrates excellent commercial parameters. With its plum-shaped, firm-skinned fruits weighing 80–100 grams, it is perfectly suited for both the fresh produce market and whole-fruit canning.

Agronomic Advantages

The primary value of this hybrid lies in its comprehensive defense system. By operating in fields with high infection pressure, "Kurazh" significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications due to its natural resistance to:

• Tobacco Mosaic Virus;
• A wide range of viral plant diseases;
• Late blight, which is typically the primary threat to tomato plantations.

With a maturity period of 120–130 days, it is an optimal solution for farms planning staggered harvest cycles. A yield potential of 70–100 tons per hectare validates the breeding excellence of Anatoly Aliluev and Tatyana Shtaynert. This hybrid is resilient, providing a stable return even under unfavorable weather conditions.

Practical Implementation

In practice, this tomato is chosen for both mechanized and intensive manual harvesting. Due to the plant’s compact structure (determinate type), it does not require complex trellising, which significantly simplifies field management. "Kurazh" serves as a reliable workhorse for operations where balancing high productivity with minimal pathogen-related quality loss is a top priority.
