Tomato Delyccho

Reliable Cherry Tomato Production with French Genetics

The Delicio tomato by Vilmorin-Mikado is a strategic choice for growers targeting the premium fresh market. As an indeterminate hybrid, it is specifically designed to provide consistent, uniform yields under controlled greenhouse environments, meeting the rigorous standards of modern agriculture.

Agronomic Performance and Management

Delicio is prized for its rapid maturation cycle of up to 90 days. To maximize yield, the plant requires standard indeterminate management practices, including systematic pruning and robust trellising. This ensures that the energy of the plant is efficiently channeled into producing its signature 20-40 gram tomatoes.

• Built-in Resilience: Genetic resistance to Tomato Mosaic Virus, Fusarium Wilt, and Verticillium Wilt provides a layer of security against common greenhouse pathogens, reducing the need for aggressive chemical interventions and lowering overall production costs.
• Post-Harvest Quality: One of the key strengths of Delicio is the structural integrity of the fruit. Its dense skin allows for excellent transportability, ensuring that produce reaches retail shelves without damage, preserving both its vibrant red color and taste profile.

The hybrid performs exceptionally well under professional management using drip irrigation and precise fertigation schedules. For growers prioritizing uniformity and risk mitigation, Delicio offers a proven track record of dependability in intensive cultivation scenarios.
