Barocco tomato — an early-maturing indeterminate variety that starts fruiting 100-105 days after germination. Plants reach up to 1.4 meters in height and are recommended to be trained into two stems for optimal growth. The first truss is formed above the 6th-7th leaf, and subsequent trusses are spaced every 2-3 leaves, each bearing 6-8 oblong-shaped fruits with a neat tip.
Barocco tomato fruits have a bright orange color and glossy surface. They feature tender, sweet flesh with high carotene and sugar content, giving them a rich flavor. Each fruit weighs 70-80 grams. Due to their density and stress resistance, these tomatoes withstand transportation well and have a long storage life.
The variety boasts high yield — 16-18 kg per square meter in open ground and over 20 kg in protected environments. It is resistant to several diseases, including tomato mosaic virus, alternaria, bacterial disease, fusarium, verticillium wilt, and cladosporiosis.
