Cucumber Askold F1 is an early, high-yielding parthenocarpic hybrid of the cornichon type, developed by the Korean company NongWoo Bio. This hybrid is versatile in cultivation — suitable for both open and protected ground, as well as for first and second crops. The maturation period is 40-45 days, allowing harvests in early spring and during the late summer to autumn period. The plant forms strong stems with short internodes and large leaf plates, which effectively protect fruits from sunburn and adverse weather conditions, including heat.

Fruits of cucumber Askold F1 have a vibrant green color, neat shape, and length of 9 to 14 cm, weighing approximately 100 g. They are characterized by a small seed cavity, absence of bitterness and hollows, as well as crisp, juicy, and aromatic flesh. Thanks to a large peduncle, harvesting does not damage the plant. Fruits do not twist, have a smooth appearance, and a large-buckled, spiny skin. The harvested crop is distinguished by prolonged freshness and market appearance, well-tolerating transportation and long-term storage.

Hybrid Askold F1 is distinguished by high productivity — at optimal planting density of 3-3.5 plants per square meter, one plant can yield up to 10 kg of fruit. A robust root system promotes rapid plant development and resistance to stress factors and a wide spectrum of diseases. The cucumber is versatile in application: it is excellent for fresh consumption, as well as for preservation, pickling, and processing, making it an attractive choice for both farmers and home gardeners.
