Asano

The Asano (KS 38 F1) tomato is an early indeterminate hybrid of pink color, developed by the Dutch seed company Kitano Seeds. The plant is tall with a strong root system and short internodes, which contributes to high yield and resistance to stress conditions. The vegetative period is 105-115 days, allowing it to be grown in spring and autumn rotations in protected environments, including plastic greenhouses.

The Asano tomato fruits are large, flat-round in shape, with smooth skin and a rich pink color without a green spot at the base of the calyx. The average fruit weight ranges from 300 to 350 grams. The flesh is juicy, sweet, and high in sugar content, making the tomatoes especially appealing for fresh consumption, as well as for making tomato juice and paste.
