SCARLET O'HARA

Scarlet O'Hara is a bright and striking ornamental vine reaching 2 to 3 meters in length. The plant has sturdy stems and well-leafed heart-shaped leaves. Its large, funnel-shaped, fiery-red flowers, 5-6 cm in diameter, decorate the vine from June until the first frost, creating an impressive decorative effect.

Ipomoea Scarlet O'Hara is sun-loving and heat-loving, preferring fertile, light, and loose soils that provide optimal conditions for growth and flowering. The plant requires regular watering, which promotes healthy development and abundant blooming. Thanks to these qualities, the vine is ideal for vertical greening, allowing you to decorate fences, pergolas, balconies, and other structures.

Scarlet O'Hara is propagated by seedlings in late March to early April or by direct sowing in May. Before sowing, seeds are soaked for 24 hours to improve germination, which occurs within 7-14 days at a temperature around 18 °C. When transplanting, plants require special care, as they are sensitive to root system damage. Seedlings are recommended to be carefully removed from pots with soil balls to preserve roots and ensure successful establishment at their permanent location.
